Summary

Sorry that I haven't posted on here in a while. I just have been trying to make as much progress as I can. There are a lot of things being added in this update including a new enemy, sounds, music and an attraction mode at the beginning of the game! I can officially say that Lights Out is in it's "Demo" Stage!!!

New Enemy

In the second level, I added a new tornado enemy, This enemy can only be seen in the light and is always slowly following the player. This is to help keep the player moving through the level and not just stay idle.

Music and Sounds

The two theme songs in the update were made by me. The sounds however were taken off of the asset store. The sounds were made by "cabled_mess" on the unity asset store. I plan on adding more sounds and songs to the game later on.

Attraction Mode

When first making this game, I wanted it to like you were playing an arcade game from the 80s. So, I added an attraction made to the beginning of the game. It incudes a little cutscene and some gameplay looping.

FYI

If you want more frequent updates on the game, check out my twitter page. I am going to be posting more consistently there. Stay tuned for more!

Update for Lights Out!

I made the walls visible in all levels. Let me know if you liked it the way it was before.

I've been able to somewhat get a lives and score counter to work. I have set the lives to 100 because I don't have a way to reset the game yet. As far as the score goes, you get 200 points for each torch found, and get 1000 points for escaping through the door. I plan on adding way more UI elements down the road.

I also added a little tutorial to the beginning of the game so that people don't just get thrown into a level upon starting the prototype. Stay tuned for more!
